Old Town San Diego

Yesterday we went to Old Town San Diego. It was on the top of a lot of lists of free things to do in San Diego, so we decided to try it out. When we first arrived, we walked around a area just outside of Old Town with a lot of gift shops and restaurants. After looking in a few gift shops we went to get a bite to eat at a little outdoor patio restaurant called Miguel’s. We ordered a burrito to share because their food came in large portions. We also got an appetizer of calamari (deep-fried breaded squid) and nachos. I even had a whole calamari stick! After eating our afternoon snack, we went to the actual Old Town. Some of the oldest standing buildings in San Diego are located in Old Town, and most of them are now shops. It kind of felt like we were in Mexico, but we were in California!

  1. I’ll bet Luie didn’t try the Calamari! Snowed a little last night but haven’t had a significant snow yet, That’s something our state fair could add to the foods on a stick!
