Jordan Pond Loop

Today, around 3:30, we drove half an hour into Acadia, this time to take a walk around Jordan Pond. Jordan Pond is one of the most popular destinations in the park, and if I were to rename it, I would say that it is more of a lake. We were planning on taking a 3 mile loop, that runs right along the edge of the “pond.” The loop was quite easy, and we made it round in timely fashion, while still having time to climb on rock, take pictures, or do any other thing that we felt compelled to do at the time. The last 1/4th of the hike was on a two foot wide boardwalk, which was fun. When we arrived back at the trailhead, we got a family picture of the lake with ‘the bubbles’ in the background, then we said goodbye to Acadia, and went on our way.

Tomorrow, we are going to drive 7 hours or so to a random place in Upstate New York, then, on Sunday, we are driving to Niagara Falls.
