Today we went on a 7.5 round trip hike (our new record!) with a 2,000 foot elevation gain to a rock that looks like a potato chip. The rock was on the top of a very large hill, so it was not an easy hike up, about 4 miles all uphill!. We were all exhausted when we reached the summit. When we got to the top there was a long line to take a photo on the rock, we decided to wait in line to get our picture, we ended up waiting an hour just to get a picture by a rock, but we agree that it was worth it. We also agree that people like us who hiked four miles to get to the rock should get to go to the front of the line, because most of the people at the rock had only hiked 1.5 miles to the rock. The way back down was way easier than the way up, We made it down with no problem averaging about a 20 minute mile. It was definitely the most challenging hike we have hiked so far on this trip, and a good way to start 2018!
That was a hike! Nice job by all!
Did you take a quick swim in that lake, so you could have a dip with the potato chip?
well any hike called the potato chip I’m in but you’d have to carry me at least part of the way. You got an extra work out with your little sis on your back. Mari looks less than enthused in that pic. Great way to begin 2018 !
Wow! That’s amazing! It looks like it was going to break with you in it. I think they should serve potato chips at the top
Congratulations on the uphill hike. I know from experience it is difficult.
-very interesting!
