Yesterday, at around 4:30, we drove a couple of miles to Mason Neck State Park. Mason Neck State Park is not anything special, in fact, it kind of reminded me of Browns Woods, a state park that we would visit periodically near Des Moines. We went on a short 2 mile hike, which was fun, and there was a swamp, which we don’t see in Des Moines. One of the highlights of the hike was a bald eagle that was flying around the area.
